Characteristics and Features Pygmy goats can be identified by their short stature and muscular body. They are stocky in build, with a broad chest and a short, muscular neck. Their short, strong legs provide support for their robust frame. A fully grown pygmy goat typically stands 16 to 23 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs between 50 and 75 pounds. One of the most distinctive features of pygmy goats is their colorful coat, which can be black, white, caramel, or various shades of gray. Their medium-to-long, occasionally fairly dense coat shields them from bad weather. Their straight profile and cute little features add to their attractiveness. Pygmy goats are known to be gregarious and social creatures. Being highly gregarious creatures, they often beg for their owners' affection and attention.
