Young adolescents appear to be dependent on television, which some describe as 'addiction'. The time spent watching television is 'stolen' from time that should be devoted to studies and encroaches on time allocated to other activities, including socialising with peers, which can hinder socialisation... This is what led Wilbur Schramm to say: 'For some children, under certain conditions, some television is harmful.'This exploratory research project has several objectives: 1- To study the impact of television on the education of adolescent viewers; 2- To understand the degree to which their representations are shaped and their identification system is influenced by the ideal types conveyed by this mass media.
