Anger comes in different forms and can be complicated, even for adults. So how do we as parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, counselors and friends, assist a child to understand a normal emotion that creates unwanted feelings and actions?
You're Not Bad, We All Get Mad will help children comprehend the normalcy of anger, what can cause anger, what to avoid, and ultimately what children can do in a positive manner to help manage their anger while building self-confidence and control.
Massy and her friends are guided by her lovable cat Blue, on a quest to better understand anger. Together they gain valuable insight into this complex emotion. With understanding comes compassion which results in a message of support and unconditional love.
This is a GREAT book you will want at home in your child's library, in classrooms, daycare, churches, doctor offices, counselors.....and always accessible for a few deep breaths and peaceful smiles!
Written in an upbeat rhythmic style similar to Dr. Suess, this book will be one of your favorites!
(Create interaction, engagement and dialogue)
We laugh when we are happy;
we might cry when we are sad,
but what's the proper way to act
whenever we get mad?
(Things that make us mad.)
Your puppy is so precious,
but she really likes to chew;
she stole a sandwich off your plate
and then she ate your shoe.
(Actions to help anger.)
Stay calm and make good choices.
Make this your golden rule.
Take deep breaths and count to ten
to keep you calm and cool.
Moments With Massy (TM) books are vetted by a LISW-S and Child Psychiatrist from a Physicians Behavioral Group.
