Your Ignorance is Their Power, is a self-explanatory title that means people's lack of knowledge of a given subject leaves them at the mercy of those who would use it against them. The sub-title Religion, its Use, Misuse and Addiction is a bit more complex, in that it implies that because if a person is ignorant of the facts revolving around a given religion, it too leaves them at the mercy of those who would misuse it and use it against you. The fact is, everybody is born with a natural instinct to find meaningful things they can believe in. Some call it instinct others call it a faith switch. The human brain actually releases a drug called oxytocin into your blood stream that acts like a mood elevating sedative when you use your instinctive faith switch. This leads us to the assumption that acting and doing good things for others can become addicting. In mankind's journey through time he found more and more things he could trust and believe in. We believe that one of his first conceptions was an afterlife. As you look along a timeline of man you can then see how and when he developed the concepts of Gods, Goddess's, spiritualism, religion and pretty much everything he believes in now. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER On the flipside of that, you will also see that knowledge of man's inherit desire to follow his instincts could be used to manipulate his trust and get him to follow someone else's ideologies. Although these attributes are pretty much universal worldwide, they are most notably visible in the Middle East. Known as the cradle of civilization, and the birthplace of the three biggest religions in the world, Judaism, Islam and Christianity, it dominates the fields of study in history, religion and science. In the last 3000-years or so, the Middle East has been the target of multiple crusades, wars, power struggles, and religious fatwas. Today the world's super powers are all there fighting both sides against the middle, bombing ISIS, hospitals, military targets, enemies and civilians, all thinking that bombs and wars can defeat the ideologies that separate the many different cultures who have inhabited the Middle East since the beginning of time. There are also dozens of even more sinister reasons why just about every country in the world has interests there. The strategic shipping lanes nearby, the world's largest oil and gas reserves, and money. The constant wars and bickering between the many Middle Eastern cultures lures billions of dollars in weapons and technology that poor in daily.
