Young Mistley is a novel written by Henry S. Merriman. The story is set in the late 19th century and follows the life of a young man named Francis Mistley. Francis is the son of an English gentleman who has recently passed away, leaving him with a large inheritance and a vast estate to manage. Despite his youth and inexperience, Francis is determined to prove himself as a capable landowner and businessman. He is aided in his endeavors by his loyal friend and advisor, Mr. Chilverton, and his love interest, Miss Janet Royd. However, Francis soon finds himself caught up in a web of deceit and betrayal as he discovers that his father's death may not have been the natural occurrence that it seemed. With the help of his allies, Francis sets out to uncover the truth and bring those responsible to justice. The novel explores themes of love, loyalty, and the struggle for power and control. It is a gripping tale of a young man's journey to adulthood and the challenges he faces along the way. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
