Darkest shades get darkest colors, medium shades get medium colors, and white to light areas get lightest colors. Soft-core colored pencils are recommended. Colored pencils may be dipped lightly at the tip in petroleum jelly when blending colors. When coloring your grayscale coloring page, start by doing a 2 x 2 area, coloring the darkest areas first.
