There are a lot of books on the market to help new Christians get a start on their faith. I found most of those to be churchy. They were aimed at getting the new Christian into church participation or supporting an agenda. Some were about molding the new Christian according to their denominational or church doctrines. There is nothing wrong or evil about those but for me, helping a new Christian to understand and grow in their new faith is not about that. It is about Jesus. The new Christian needs to understand what it is to build a relationship with Jesus and let that relationship guide their faith walk. Doctrines and church participation will follow, but at the start the new Christian needs to focus on Jesus. This book speaks to that need. It is a very basic, a very simple primer for the new Christian, a beginner's guide. Individuals and churches will be able to use it to help new Christians build a strong faith foundation on relationship with Jesus.
