A long-awaited new collection of poems by the beloved, surrealist poet with a voice like no other.
Ever since the publication of his debut collection, The Man Suit, Zachary Schomburg's perfect little gems of poems have been enthusiastically greeted by readers and have inspired young writers and poets to take up the craft (they've also inspired quite a few poem-themed tattoos along the way, too). Wool Moon, Schomburg's seventh collection and his first after a five-year break, is signature Schomburg: imaginative, absurd, tender, and charmingly funny.
Schomburg has said of his poetry, Mostly I want my poems to generate their own energy through confusion. I want my poems to confuse the reader. Not a confusion in a cognitive or narrative sense, but in an emotional sense. The poems of Wool Moon achieve this delightful confusion, turning the ordinary and the everyday on its head and finding light and curiosity in all they touch.
