The wizard has big summer plans: to garden, to fish, and to nap. The only thing better would be if he had someone nice to share the days with. But the only people who show up want him to rescue yet another princess, lift the usual vile curse, confront a fearsome ghost, deal with a pack of magical hooligans, harvest a crop of golden cucumbers, and on and on. . . .
A wizard's work is never done!
What kind of magical mayhem could possibly ruin a wizard's perfect summer?
- Reluctant Hero: This young wizard would rather be gardening, but when people show up with cursed princesses and rowdy unicorns, he just can't help but help.
- Twists on Fairy Tales: What if the wicked stepmother is just nearsighted and the princess is the one making selfish wishes? Get ready for hilarious and unexpected takes on classic stories.
- Unforgettable Magical Creatures: Meet a ghost who's haunting the wrong duke, teenage unicorns who need to grow up, and a dragon who's tired of his demanding princess.
- Humorous Fantasy Adventure: Perfect for middle grade readers who love funny, fast-paced stories full of wit, wacky problems, and clever magical solutions.
