When John Coe's father is murdered and he returns to town after working in the mines what he uncovers may implicate his own mother and an odd man, Dalbert Frost, in the murder. As Coe spirals out of control so too does his touch with the world he once knew. ...For generations the Boisfontwac family were once prominent pigfarmers but what remains of the family now would hardly even pass for lawful. Twenty three sons of Ebner Boisfontwac now roam and own the land which they cover in the blood of 51 missing girls. ...Bo Craysong is a lonely six year old boy with a dying mother. In order to help her pay her doctor bills he decides to open up show on an unorthodox business of his own and what follows is the rise of a monster. JW Lollar blends humor and darkness in an unyielding look at the underbelly of the world, the earth always watches those who inhabit it and the creatures of Withered Whole, in WhiteHurst, know no end to evil and debauchery. JW Lollar is the author of thirteen other novels including favorites, Prairiewind Southern and The Harvest Black. What JW delivers here will have you repulsed as well as bent in laughter as we follow the characters till a bitter dismal end.
