Set during a time when being a woman meant becoming a wife and mother, Elizabeth Chapman sacrifices her dreams in order to hold those of her husband's. Following the story of their marriage, we join Elizabeth on her journey to fulfill her purpose when she is forced to rediscover her voice after having lived in the shadows of her husband's success. On her journey to healing, Elizabeth writes this raw and philosophical memoir to share with her readers the pains and profound elements of marriage and how this led her to understand how trusting yourself and finding strength to continue can lead you back to your soul. For those who are grieving, experiencing regrets, or fighting for themselves, Elizabeth is a source of comfort and revelation as she shows us that nobody deserves to play second fiddle.A current New York University Steinhardt graduate student, the author also has a Master's in Social Work and Bachelor's in Psychology with experience working with individuals experiencing grief, loss and abuse. Alba Cecilia Callejas works to combat social inequities and believes that through reading and writing people have a private way to identify with pain and become active agents in their happiness and success.
