I learned early in my life what love is. Unfortunately, I learned late in life how to love.
I was always receiving love and thought what I was giving in return was love. I thought love was a measurable thing and how someone loved me was the way I was to love them in return. To me, that was what I thought loving was all about. As I grew from a child to an adult, I realized that whenever I decided I loved someone, that feeling never changed. It was the weirdest thing. After whatever hurt they may have caused and however their feelings may have changed towards me, my feelings for them never changed. I'm not an expert when it comes to loving, but I'm experienced enough to know what I feel and what I want to share.
I get the feeling that if I could put my heart in everyone else's chest, love would continuously flow freely, and joy would be the order of everyone's day.
But it doesn't work that way. Love is as unique as a fingerprint. No two people loves the same. So I would encourage everyone who will take time to read and try to understand my thoughts, hopefully, you will realize that love is about channeling that feeling you feel when you're loved to everyone else, and then and only then you will know love.
