I looked up the term 'sucker punch' in the Google dictionary and found an unexpected punch or blow. Elizabeth S. Wolf is a mistress wordsmith. It's not just the crafting of her words but also the content which combine to make her poems so powerful. Her style is unique and truly extraordinary. We are not suckers, nor is Ms. Wolf. Not even close.

- Isabell VanMerlin, editor, author. Her most recent books are Clouds: naming God with Clouds and Merrimac Mic Takes the Fifth: Anthology V

The vignettes in this bio-historical collection by Elizabeth S. Wolf vibrate with the authenticity of lived life, of life well-(re)collected, through an urgent lens clearly. No matter the narrative content or emotional cost, Elizabeth sustains a steady pulse of compassion throughout these poems; also, a resounding hum of personal truth and grace found. Bravo- we are not traveling alone!
