On a multiverse Earth where most of the countries are Commonwealths and peace reigns supreme, an unimaginable event occurs. Most of the Siberian and northern Asian continent suffers an almost total extinction event as an asteroid slams through the atmosphere and hits without warning. Millions are missing, millions to billions dead or dying.
From the rubble comes a young girl who rescues her friend and teacher from the rubble as they search for family members and other survivors. They are rescued from the refugee camps by a very special friend of the teacher, a former model and actress. Follow their lives as they assimilate into another culture with the Commonwealths in a country known as Australia. Follow and learn what they went through, were now expecting and wanted to do and be. Life has a habit of destroying the best laid plans of gods and men, let alone men and mice.
Read into the lives of Tatiana Zelania, Karl Dalton and his two adopted Russian daughters Petra and Nadine, their stories and their new lives dealing with the pain of the past. Karl met Tatiana when she was eighteen and at the height of her modelling career. He was taken by her and based a character of his novel on her, with her consent so long as her identity was never revealed. People however guessed who was based on whom. Her career became a star struck ride to the top of the modelling ladder, his to a world best selling author. Now almost ten years later, calamity from an almost extinction level event brings them back together. She learns of his fall from grace thanks to his deceptive and unloving wife, she loved his money not him. Tatiana's rise and subsequent fall from modelling equally as tragic as his. The two try to discover each other as he sponsors her and adopts two girls as his daughters. He is hoping Australia will be a safe haven for them all. Little did he know that plans were already in place to ensure it wasn't....
