Hello, everyone! Lemon Jello here for Pixie-Funky-Fuzz-Funny-Tattler! TV news! One question parents often ask their children is, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?'

Well, in an attempt to help both kids and parents with some ideas about that, we at PFFFT! are conducting interviews with masters in skilled trades.

Because the canned answer by most of today's educators is college, college, college...we at PFFFT! have directed our inquiries to skilled trades not requiring four or more years of college.

The skilled trades we have selected follow a different path; getting a high school degree or GED then enrolling in a trade school followed by apprenticeship.

We began our research with our first book in our 'What Do I Want To Be' series titled 'Secrets of Fairy Godmothers' which dealt with self-confidence. In the book we interviewed six fairy godmothers to learn their ambitions about wanting each of us to examine what makes us tick inside...who we are, what we inspire to be. And the one big encouragement almost shouted by book one is to Believe in Yourself! You are the master of your future! Dream big, do big! You can do whatever you dream if you just keep trying until you succeed!

In book two in this series, which we called 'What Do You Want to Be - Book 2' (that's a clever title, don't you think?) we interviewed seven very important skilled trades to learn what each trade does, what it takes to master the trade, how important the trade is to all of us and the history of how the trade came to be. In book two the skilled trades discussed were electricians, carpenters, plumbers, mechanics, crane operators, roughnecks and welders.

In book three in this series, which we called 'What Do You Want to Be - Book 3' (there's no end to our originality for titles) we interviewed six more skilled trades; heavy equipment driver, HVAC technician, solar technician, long-haul trucker, wind turbine technician and lineman.

Let me emphasize that these are only a few of the many skilled trades that we will be interviewing in our ongoing series. In future books we intend to interview assistants in all branches of our military, farmers, ranchers and many, many more in skilled trades occupations.

In this fourth book, uniquely titled 'What Do You Want to Be - Book 4', we will be interviewing representatives for various healthcare assistant vocations.

Helping others with health problems can be very self-rewarding in itself. Young kids stricken with diseases, our aged folks needing support or home care, first time moms looking for help and lots of folks dealing with temporary health problems requiring short-term assistance and many more facing permanent impairments of one type or another may need the trained skills that you could learn to provide.

But another path in which assistants contribute greatly is to relieve physicians and nurses of the many time consuming administrative duties that waste their extensive medical trainings.

So, this book (book 4) will be looking at skills in assisting in clinical, paramedic, nursing, emergency, dental, veterinarian, medical equipment and more.

Okay, I just received word that the fine representatives for our interviews are ready, so, let's begin.
