Walking Rum is the first collection of poetry by Nadia Hajar. Three chapters make up the book: Loving, Knowing, and Bliss. Each chapter has a unique element and taste to it. She wrote poetry as a way of collecting memory as well as a way of finding happiness within. As life goes on its roller-coaster, we all need some way to find our true meaning of being. Loving is a universal feeling, an energy, a language. Knowing is something we only can understand with our maturity and experience in life. Bliss is when we can see things in life as it is and allow ourselves to connect deep within. So we can be true to ourselves. In her writing, she wants to bring the idea of women's liberation by healing her wounds through knowing and experiencing love, pain, and human conditions
