Only when armed men appeared in her village did Argentine begin to realize the extent of her own danger. Thus began Argentine and her mother's remarkable journey across the hills, through lava-covered streets, and rebel-held towns seeking safety for themselves and their family.
In sharing her story of growing up in eastern Congo, Argentine asks a universal question. What does it mean to be safe in this world? Her answer is both searingly honest and surprisingly hopeful. This is a story of faith, hope, and the love that carries us all.
