For The path to happiness is littered with ex-boyfriends, confusing career choices, and lingering insecurities for an ambitious young woman in this touching, romantic debut. Meet Jules Sinclair, a spirited thirty-something PR maven on the precipice of success. She has supportive friends, a loving mom and dad, a great job, and the perfect boyfriend, a dancer and model named Tony-- until he breaks her heart. The bitter breakup throws Jules into a whirlwind of emotions and broken dreams, and she decides to open a new chapter in her life. Jules returns to New York City to interview for her dream job with the head of the PR division at Carly' s, a ritzy supper club. It' s owned by former model Micheal Kipps, who takes Jules under his wing. But when a shareholder sets his sights on investing in Carly' s, his plans also include a bid for Jules' heart. As she deals with heartbreak, dating, loneliness, and the struggle to choose between love and her career, Jules realizes that her new life and new love could all come to an end if she continues to allow the past, and her allegiance to another man, dictate her heart. Filled with tender moments and strong, relatable characters, Waiting for Jules is a beautifully told story about the necessity of mending the past while on the road to finding true love and happiness.
