Wynter Skye is a little girl whose best friend, her doll Summer Rayne, is always by her side. However, she faces the challenge of attending school for the first time. When she arrives at school, Wynter Skye begs her father not to leave her there. The teacher takes Wynter Skye by the hand to her classroom. In the classroom, Wynter Skye sees other children who are similar in size. She approaches the children. Will Wynter Skye make it through her first day at school without her best friend, make new friends, and adjust to being away from home? This short story teaches children how to cope with going to school for the first time.
