This is the land of Saxos-Ruled by a supernatural king, whose command over the cliffs and hills is compelled by only one law: that every trespasser must contend with him barehanded in his wrestling-pits. If the Athenians' champion can prove victorious the king promises to immediately release them from his currents, return their ships on their speedy mission towards Troy. But if their champion loses then the entire crew will be forfeited, imprisoned and enslaved on Saxos forever...Assuming he can survive the deadly contest at all!

Nathaniel J. Baker is an American author and attorney. He holds a law degree from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Classics from Trinity College, where he graduated at the top of his department.
