Where are the Chitwan National Park and Lake Baikal? And which 2 countries are double-landlocked?
Tired of television? The internet? Apps, tablets, smartphones? Remember the old days when entertainment didn't require wi-fi and batteries and pop-up ads? Do you remember the simple joy of sharpening a pencil? Seeing your own error and using the eraser on the end of the pencil? And the eventual satisfaction of completing a crossword (without peeking at the answers)? Bring back these better, simpler times.
I LOVED these crosswords. I've travelled to almost 100 countries. Doing these puzzles brought back so many amazing memories. The Kotor fijord in Monetnegro. The coffee in Beirut. And the chocolate cake in Kathmandu!! The apfelstrudel mit vanillensauce at the café next to Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin. A rooftop bar on the northern edge of Sorrento, a wild midnight storm and an endless supply of limoncello. My first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower that later I walked up. Now I just want to pack my bags and visit 100 more countries.
These crosswords puzzles will push you to an atlas or an encyclopaedia or a blow-up globe. (You have a blow-up globe, don't you? You must have one.) You'll lose track of time as you read about Papua New Guinea and Egypt and Morocco and Bolivia and... You may find the source of the Nile. You will find the Sahara. And Zanzibar. Oh and Port Louis in Mauritius too. And Almaty in Kazakhstan. And Istanbul.
