The Works of the Duke of Argyll is a collection of three essays: The Reign of Law, The Unity of Nature, and Primeval Man. The author, George Douglas Campbell, the Duke of Argyll, was a Scottish nobleman and politician who was also a prominent writer and philosopher. In The Reign of Law, he argues that the universe is governed by laws that are consistent and universal, and that this idea has important implications for our understanding of the natural world and our place in it. In The Unity of Nature, he explores the idea that all living things are interconnected and that the study of nature can help us better understand our own existence. Finally, in Primeval Man, he delves into the origins of human civilization and the evolution of human society. The book was originally published in 1884 and remains a classic work of philosophical and scientific inquiry. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
