The Works of Celebrated Authors, of Whose Writings There Are But Small Remains gathers the complete or near-complete works of four prominent 18th-century English writers: George Stepney, William Walsh, Thomas Tickell, and Bishop Sprat. This collection preserves the literary contributions of these figures, whose individual oeuvres might otherwise be lost to time.
Including poetry, essays, and correspondence, this volume offers a glimpse into the intellectual and artistic landscape of the early modern period. Readers interested in English literature, particularly that of the late 17th and early 18th centuries, will find this a valuable resource. It provides a unique opportunity to explore the breadth and depth of these authors' work, all in one accessible volume.
