Wired Love: A Romance of Dots and Dashes is a novel written by Ella Cheever Thayer and first published in 1880. The book tells the story of Nattie Rogers, a young telegraph operator who falls in love with another telegraph operator, a man she knows only by his telegraph handle, C. As they communicate through their work, Nattie and C develop a deep connection, but they have never met in person. When Nattie is transferred to a new office, she discovers that C is actually a man named John, and they finally meet in person. However, their relationship is complicated by John's jealous ex-girlfriend and the pressures of their jobs. The novel explores themes of communication, technology, and the challenges of romantic relationships in the modern age.
