Who am I. Why am I here. Is this all there is.
Most people bury it. Life gets loud, and the question goes quiet. But it never leaves.
Why Were You Born is for the moment you decide to ask again.
The book draws from traditions that have pointed at this answer for three thousand years. Ashtavakra. The Buddha. Krishna. Krishnamurti. Osho. It also draws from the modern voices you already read. It sits across the table from you like a friend at ten in the evening, telling you what nobody has been telling you.
That you are not a person who happens to have awareness. You are awareness playing at being a person.
That you came here to feel this specific life fully.
That you have forgotten who you are, on purpose, because the forgetting is what makes the play worth playing.
Across sixteen short chapters, the book walks you through what happens when you finally stop running from the question. The great forgetting. The story you have been telling about yourself. The observer and the observed. Grief. Fear. The body you have almost never visited. Work without gripping. The strange feeling of running out of time. The cosmic joke. Love as substance. The door at the end of the hall.
Nothing exotic is asked of you. No mat. No monastery. No new identity. Just a willingness to sit with the oldest question a human can ask, and see what has been waiting for you underneath your busy life.
If you have ever wondered why you were born, and quietly suspected there was more to your life than you have been told, this book is for you.
You do not need to become anyone.
You are the one you have been looking for.
