Why Me, Lord? Why Not You? is near and dear to my heart. It took me almost two and a half decades to release the first half of this book. I still have more life to live and more stories of this life called Annette to pen. Why Me, Lord? Why Not You? The answer to why is simple: it's because God chose me, and He alone knew what was inside me, and He knew He was with me. I was ashamed of my story because I felt like a failure. I failed as a mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, and even a child of God. What I did not know was that it was for my good so I can tell others that no matter what we did, where we have been, or how we felt, the blood of Jesus covers it all-that failure is never the end. We all can get back up again because of His grace.
I just want to share the markings of God's divine providence over my life and how His love lifted me and changed me-to tell someone it is okay to trust God or give the testimony of saving grace to give someone hope. Why me? Why not me? Who could have lived through the heartache, pain, abuse, rejection, disappointments, and shame and live to talk about it but someone God chose long before I was a twinkle in my father's eye?
Finally, I am free to tell my story my way, and I pray it will bring God glory for the great things He has done in my life. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but He will deliver you/me out of them all if we let Him. I hope you enjoy the first book, and prayerfully, you will not have to wait long for the second book.
