From there, she steps into Pre-Raphaelite paintings, Gothic novels, feminist theology, a 1990s music festival that reshaped the industry, and finally into the strange, contested territory of modern astrology and TikTok's dark feminine energy.
This is not a book that settles on one Lilith and calls it truth. It's a book that asks a harder, more honest question: why does this particular figure - banished, rewritten, worshipped, sold, and endlessly reinterpreted - refuse to disappear? And what does each version of her reveal about the people who needed to invent her?
Drawing on comparative mythology, Jungian psychology, feminist film theory, and a critical look at the sources themselves - including a startling academic debate over whether Lilith's most famous story was ever meant to be taken seriously at all - Who Is Lilith? is part myth, part history, part reckoning with how legends are truly made.
