Mary Magdalene is a normal woman, almost ordinary, except for an obvious charisma... But her life is extraordinary and, in fact, so is she! She is a symbol of resilience, an example and hope for many women around her.
She has survived two civil wars. She was a business leader and evangelical pastor. She was known and appreciated in her country, Congo DRC. But she was also abused by her husband, and his family.

Widowed, threatened with death, ruined to escape the Custom she had to flee to Europe, leave everything behind, and take refuge in France.
Undocumented, she was exploited for about ten years by unscrupulous people who were never worried, and she ended up in Essonne, in the Paris region. With the help of an integration association - she joined its board of directors in 2023 - she once again regained courage and integrated herself into the landscape of her city.
She obtained a multi-year residence permit, social security coverage, and gave French lessons to newcomers of all nationalities. She is also the coordinator of its Neighbourhood Council, a member of the ambassadors' committee of the UNESCO learning city of Évry-Courcouronnes, a member of her city's Citizens' Assembly, and a Citizen Spectator of the Scène Nationale de l'Essonne. All this as a volunteer, of course.
And finally, she began the process of naturalization to become French. It was in this context that I met her, and that she became my companion. That's where this book begins...
