Where Did This Stone Come From? The Story Behind Mesa Verde Visitor and Research Center is a photographic and historical exploration of the stone used to construct one of Mesa Verde National Park's most distinctive modern buildings. Through images and narrative, the book follows the journey of sandstone from its origin in the Dry Creek Basin of southwestern Colorado through quarrying, fabrication, transportation, and final installation within the Visitor and Research Center.
