This book sets out to summarize the most relevant and latest data pertaining to religiosity as it is experienced within personal and communal contexts as a means of then exploring how religion and spirituality converge within states of cultural emergence and shift. By laying out three distinct case studies, respectively spanning the evolutionary, historical, and cultural applications of what anthropologists call imagistic modes of religious praxis, while also applying a Certeauian analysis of the producer-consumer dynamic to the prime movers of religion in each instance, this volume makes a compelling case for religiosity in its rawest form being an invaluable and enriching element of cultural construction, personal and communal meaning-making, and human fulfillment-especially in spaces of what the author calls aporic liminality (or, more precisely, aporiality).
