When a rain-soaked stranger named Yolanda arrives in Tidal one evening and tells Felix he is expected at Thursday dinner next door-not invited, expected-he discovers something he hadn't planned for: people who don't require him to be smaller than he is.
Tidal is a love story told in window displays and shared walls and the specific language of two people who leave doors open instead of making demands. It is about the families we find sideways and the selves we keep in locked cabinets, about the difference between being fine and being well, and about the particular courage required to build something you also have to live inside.
At its heart, it is a story about what happens when two people who have learned to hold themselves with both hands slowly, carefully, begin to let go-and discover that the ground has been there the whole time.
