West! is a novel written by Charles Alden Seltzer, first published in 1913. The story is set in the American West during the late 1800s and follows the life of a young cowboy named Jack Summers. Jack is a skilled horseman and a sharpshooter, but he is also impulsive and often gets himself into trouble. After a series of misadventures, Jack finds himself working for a wealthy rancher named John Bard. Bard is a tough and demanding boss, but he recognizes Jack's potential and takes him under his wing. As Jack rises through the ranks of Bard's ranch, he becomes embroiled in a feud with a rival cattle baron, leading to a violent and thrilling climax. Along the way, Jack also falls in love with a beautiful young woman named Mary Hope, who becomes a key player in the conflict between the two ranchers. West! is a classic Western novel that captures the spirit of the American frontier and the rugged individualism of the cowboys who tamed it.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
