They didn't have to do that, however; and, with very little contriving, all seven cousins were squeezed into three rooms--Betty and Cecily in one, Barbara, Emily and Mary-bud in another, and Hilda and Anne in a third. As she was made of wax, she was given the corner furthest from the fire-place; and when she was asleep, all the little girls gathered admiringly about her pillow.
