There was a time when life felt wide and unbroken, when dreams rose effortlessly from the heart like morning light-fragile, luminous, untouched by the weight of years. We Were Dreamers Once... and Young is a return to that place, and a journey far beyond it. This poetry collection is an intimate exploration of what it means to live, to love, to lose, and to rise again.
Across its pages, you will travel through childhood summers and quiet dawns, through the soft ache of longing and the sharp edges of regret, through nights heavy with memory and mornings brimming with hope. These poems trace the inner landscape of a life unfolding-its beginnings and endings, its fractures and its healings, its questions and its quiet, steadfast faith in possibility.
Written with tenderness and unflinching honesty, this collection invites you to reflect on your own story: the echoes you carry, the people you've loved, the moments that shaped you, and the dreams you left behind or are learning to reclaim. It speaks to the universal truths of being human-that grief can transform us, that memory can both wound and warm us, and that renewal often arrives in unexpected ways.
More than a book, this is a companion for those standing at crossroads or walking through the shadows of yesterday. It is a reminder that even in the midst of brokenness, beauty persists. Even when seasons change, something within us continues to reach for light.
We Were Dreamers Once... and Young: Poems on Our Lives, Memory, and Change is a testament to the enduring courage of the human heart-and an invitation to dream again.
