The Wasps is a comedic play written by the ancient Greek playwright Aristophanes. It tells the story of a father and son, Philocleon and Bdelycleon, who are both obsessed with serving on juries in Athens. Philocleon is addicted to the power and influence he feels as a juror, while Bdelycleon is tired of his father's constant absence and wants to keep him at home. To achieve this, Bdelycleon convinces Philocleon to participate in a mock trial held in their own home, where he acts as judge and jury. Through a series of humorous and absurd events, Philocleon eventually realizes the error of his ways and becomes content with staying at home.
