Wallace Or The Fight Of Falkirk: A Metrical Romance is a book written by Miss Holford and published in 1810. The book is a poetic retelling of the Scottish hero William Wallace's fight against the English army at the Battle of Falkirk in 1298. The story follows Wallace's journey as he rallies his fellow Scots to fight against the English, and ultimately leads them to victory at Falkirk. The book is written in verse, with each chapter being a separate poem. The language is flowery and romantic, typical of the Romantic era in which it was written. The book is a celebration of Scottish nationalism and heroism, and is a popular example of the genre of historical romances. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
