A poem of maturity, Viernes ajenos returns to what has been lived not to recover it since it has never been lost, but to deepen the experience with the clarity now allowed by both distance and age -and enjoy it more fully for being more aware. The poem thus reflects not only the maturity of life, but the mastery of a lyrical expression that is freer, and more open and richer.
