What if you applied the butterfly effect to an octet of authors? No, really: start with a single concept - in this case it's, A quest to discover the truth about a legend. Then turn loose eight writers of diverse style and genre. Percolate over time and toil, then bake in a word processor at highly creative temperatures. Here's what happens: from the first decision comes another choice, and subsequently another decision. That decision surfaces new choices, and the cycle goes 'round again. The authors within this book made many, many decisions branching out from a single shared point of infinite possibility. As such no two stories resemble each other beyond the broadest thematic strokes. The final product in your hands is like getting a sampler-kit or loot crate, where all the contents come in smaller-than-standalone size. It's highly possible you may connect with one of more of these diverse tales, and if you're very lucky you'll find more that resonate. The fun is checking 'em all out to discover which are which. Are you up for an adventure?
