The Vision of Scipio Considered As A Fragment Of The Mysteries is a book written by W. Wynn Westcott. The book explores the ancient Roman philosophical work, The Dream of Scipio, which was written by Cicero in the 1st century BCE. The Dream of Scipio is a dialogue between Scipio Africanus, a Roman general and politician, and his grandfather, who has been dead for many years. In the dialogue, Scipio is taken on a journey through the heavens and shown the nature of the universe and the afterlife. Westcott's book examines The Dream of Scipio in the context of ancient mystery schools and their teachings. He argues that the work contains esoteric knowledge that was only available to initiates of these schools. Westcott draws on a wide range of sources, including ancient Greek and Egyptian texts, to support his interpretation of The Dream of Scipio. The book is divided into three parts. The first part provides an introduction to the ancient mystery schools and their teachings. The second part is a detailed analysis of The Dream of Scipio, with a focus on its symbolism and hidden meanings. The third part examines the relevance of The Dream of Scipio to modern spirituality and philosophy. Overall, The Vision of Scipio Considered As A Fragment Of The Mysteries is a thought-provoking exploration of an ancient text and its place in the history of esoteric knowledge. It will appeal to readers interested in philosophy, spirituality, and the history of ancient mystery schools.THIS 26 PAGE ARTICLE WAS EXTRACTED FROM THE BOOK: Collectanea Hermetica, by W.
