Willing, athletic, and joyful in the field, the Springer Spaniel is the classic flushing gundog, springing game for the gun since Tudor times. This treasured anthology gathers vintage writing and rare photographs celebrating the Springer Spaniel.

Part of the Vintage Dog Books library, The Vintage Dog Scrapbook - The Springer Spaniel collects essays, breed notes, poems, and period photographs drawn from classic interwar dog books such as About Our Dogs (1931) by A. Croxton Smith, Dogs of the World (1931) by Arthur Craven, and Hutchinson's Dog Encyclopaedia (1935). Together they capture the breed as it was known a century ago, in the words and images of the fanciers who prized it most.
