Small, hardy, and full of pluck, the Australian Terrier is a rough-coated ratter bred for the outback, a big personality in a compact frame. This treasured anthology gathers vintage writing and rare photographs celebrating the Australian Terrier.

Part of the Vintage Dog Books library, The Vintage Dog Scrapbook - The Australian Terrier collects essays, breed notes, poems, and period photographs drawn from classic interwar dog books such as About Our Dogs (1931) by A. Croxton Smith, Dogs of the World (1931) by Arthur Craven, and Hutchinson's Dog Encyclopaedia (1935). Together they capture the breed as it was known a century ago, in the words and images of the fanciers who prized it most.
