Alexandria Slatewood renovates Victorian Homes in San Diego, CA. She has suffered tragedies such as losing her parents in a car crash and giving birth to a son, Nicholas, is 10 years old, who is from a man, Nikoli, disfigured from the Vietnam War who had his own tragedies, including his Mother being murdered and Father drinking himself to death. But soon everything gets suspicious as this rich family from Chicago have secrets and Alex ends up in the middle of it all, and danger lurks everywhere.
