The Vedanta-Sutras: With The Commentary (1904) by Madhwawharya, Sri is a book that explores the philosophy of Vedanta, one of the six orthodox schools of Hinduism. The book is a comprehensive guide to understanding the Vedanta-Sutras, which are a collection of aphorisms that outline the fundamental principles of Vedanta.Madhwawharya, Sri provides a detailed commentary on each sutra, offering insights into their meaning and significance. He also draws on the teachings of other Vedantic philosophers, such as Shankara and Ramanuja, to provide a broader perspective on the subject. The book is divided into four chapters, each of which deals with a specific aspect of Vedanta philosophy. The first chapter explores the nature of Brahman, the ultimate reality that underlies all existence. The second chapter discusses the relationship between Brahman and the individual soul, or jiva. The third chapter delves into the concept of maya, the illusion that creates the world of appearances. The final chapter explores the path to liberation, or moksha, which involves the realization of one's true nature as Brahman.Overall, The Vedanta-Sutras: With The Commentary (1904) by Madhwawharya, Sri is a valuable resource for anyone interested in understanding the philosophy of Vedanta. It offers a clear and concise explanation of the key concepts and principles of this ancient tradition, making it accessible to both scholars and general readers alike. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
