Hi, my name is Abhinav, and this is the story of my father. He has always been a silent person but people who are silent have a lot of emotions within them. Some get lucky and get to express those and some die with their emotions withheld. It is much later and often when it gets too late that we realize that they had so much to say. I have been noticing the writings of my father for a very long time and I always had a wish to gift him a book of his own compositions on his birthday. But days passed by and I got busier. Most of us get so occupied in our lives that we barely get time to notice the talents of our parents, but I will say I am a lucky child! While we get busy in our lives, we tend to forget that they too are growing old. They have made a lot of sacrifices so that we can live a happy life, but they will not say this to us. Only because they are our parents. But we will know eventually, often, when we become parents ourselves. Do not wait for the right time, this is the right time to be with your parents. Tell them how much you care for them and say it in a way that they can feel it and not just hear it. Make everyday a Father's Day or a Mother's Day because life is uncertain. I can only wish for the well-being of my parents. To see them happy, to see them laugh, to see them content is my lifelong dream. My sister and I do not wish for anything more. Sometimes however, I wish I could make them immortal, but the future is in no man's hand. What we can do is hug them, spend time with them and tell them that the present is pleasant. This time my sister Aprajita and I decided to publish his poems, let people know how creative he is, let people realize that a man, a father, a husband can also be a poet. My father has taught me that all emotions cannot be expressed, some of them must be understood. His poems have their own lives; unsaid words, unexpressed emotions, mixed with a lot of memories. They will take you through a journey that will make you feel like you are a part of it, like home. These poems will make you laugh, will make you cry and maybe will again make you laugh. These poems will remind you of your father's love, innocence, and his unsaid words. With all my heart, I wish that these poems will bring you closer to your parents. Enjoy the journey!
