Have you ever been on the losing end of an unrequited love?Wouldn't it be bliss if the person who caused our heart to skip a beat, or sometimes made it beat even faster, would reciprocate our feelings for them? It is pure happiness when they notice us and the things we do to catch their favor and attention, and somehow know they also have some feelings for us.Unfortunately, that's not always the case. There are times we would find ourselves walking on a one-way street. From the initial spark, the butterflies in our stomach, and the anticipation for the next meeting or conversation. Then there's the build-up of expectations, those constant daydreaming of the future together, and hoping they will all come true. Soon all these dream bubbles would one day burst with the reality that the object of our affection never had the same feeling we offer them. This is the painful truth of unrequited love. A love that is not accepted. A love that is not reciprocated.But the realization of the truth does not really diminish the love. Sometimes it even strengthens the feeling of hope that someday... somehow... someway... it can still happen.These are the feelings that are reflected in the poems in this book - from the first glance, the blooming of the feeling, to the realization of the one-sided affection that leads to the eternal longing for something that might never happen.
