Ugly Truth

He walked into my life and turned it upside down.

When times got tough, life taught me to only depend on myself. When the darkness from depression crept in and sent me spiraling, no one else helped pull me out. My life held more storms than rainbows, and now mid-divorce, I'm fighting my hardest battle - finding myself while standing on my own.

Here in the storm's eye, a hand reaches out, offering hope. Fear chokes me that once he sees the ugly truth I live, I'll be alone again.

**Author's note - this story deals with past child abuse, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and finding faith, love and hope.**
