The short novel Unfinished follows Dylan Nabors on a quest to find his missing girlfriend, Kerry. Dylan follows clues left by Kerry that quickly enmesh him in a mystery involving a murderous ritualistic cult and a popular cosmetics enterprise that takes him on a perilous journey across the country to a series of small towns that share a common secret. In each location as Dylan seeks to find Kerry he learns a little more about what it means to strive for perfection in an imperfect world, and that by unravelling the confounding facts surrounding her disappearance he is being led ever closer to the borderline of hell, which is much closer to home than he suspected. In the accompanying stories, the reader is introduced to a cat with an unusual heritage; a component of nature that tempts people to look beyond the natural world; a demon hunter who learns that evil wears many faces; and a man who visits a small town seeking a respite from his life and who nearly finds himself separated from his soul. Each story invites us to look beneath the surface of what we see in our everyday lives to the realm of the things we can't see but that are always but a heartbeat away and that might at any moment change the course of our lives forever.
