This accessible introduction to Catholic morality focuses on moral development, not simply the acquisition of learning. It is about the moral person. In looking at the morality of actions and structures, the author considers the scope of human social milieu, life circumstances, and the fundamental call of humans to union with God. Faith thus plays a foundational role in moral theology. The person of Jesus and his life and words guide the believer in leading a moral life. Most importantly, a relationship of faith enables the adult to exercise personal responsibility for moral living. The author applies the principles of Catholic morality to specific life situations throughout the book. Her book is ideal for personal or classroom study.
