This collection of new poetry by this emerging author is intended to convey some of the vitality and power that this beautiful art form can offer. Often perceived as difficult and obscure, it's the hope of the author that in the reading of this new collection the poems are found to be accessible, relatable and meaningful. Covering the perennial subjects of love, heartbreak, loss, ageing, raising children and also the experience of living in a new country, these poems are lyrical, tender, confessional and observational. Many are interlaced with hope and a gentle life philosophy but all are borne of experience and the reality of a life lived. One of the author's aim in writing and publishing this collection is to invoke an emotional impact that will inspire the reader (especially in those who do not usually read poetry) to want to seek out some of the great poets our time.
