They said she'd never make it. They said she didn't belong. They said she was unfit. But every attempt to silence her only made her louder.
From foster care to motherhood, from surviving domestic violence to standing face to face with a justice system that failed her, Marla Matrice Murphy's story defies the odds. Under Review is her unflinching account of being reduced to a statistic.
Through trauma, poverty, and systemic injustice, she learned that the same systems that tried to break her would one day face her in the courtroom. Told with honesty, grit, and grace, this memoir reveals the cost of resilience and the power of refusing to disappear.
Under Review is more than a story of survival. It is a story of conviction, transformation, and the audacity to keep standing when the world says sit down. It's proof that no matter how hard life hits, you can hit back harder.
